Three Republican congressional candidates on Wednesday won the Iowa Farm Bureau’s “Friends of Agriculture” designation – the official seal of approval from the ag organization’s political action committee.
Incumbents Tom Latham and Steve King – vying this year for the 3rd and 4th congressional districts, respectively – received the endorsement, as did 1st District challenger Ben Lange.
The endorsements are the result of a grassroots vetting process that considers candidates’ positions, leadership on Farm Bureau priorities and past voting records.
